Shop & Sip Event

This past week I had the opportunity to co-host an event at one of my favorite local boutiques Eva Bryn Shoetique. The evening was full of shopping, drinks from Pura Still and sweet treats courtesy of Tin Man Sweets, a local award-winning bakery.

For those that aren’t familiar, Eva Bryn is a boutique north of Pittsburgh that “believes you don’t have to live in a big city to have access to the latest trends in shoes & accessories”. Her boutique is full of designer shoes, beautifully made handbags & on-trend layering pieces like spring kimonos and lightweight blazers.

For the event, I wore my Geox Wedge Sneakers (from Eva Bryn) with a tutu midi skirt and a casual crew neck tee. I wanted to feel whimsical but edgy; I think I nailed it 🙂

I am so grateful to all of the women that came out to the event. From friendly faces, to local influencers and new connections, you made the night a success! I cannot wait to see you in your new spring styles.

Galentine’s Day in the City

If you know me or follow my blog regularly then you know that I love any excuse to host a party or get together with friends. Galentine’s Day (Valentine’s Day but for your girlfriends) is a great way to show your besties how much you love & appreciate them. Throughout the month of love, I’ve celebrated GDay with dinner & drinks, pampering gifts & of course, some champagne in the city.

Whether you believe in celebrating Galentine’s day or not, be sure to take a moment and thank your friends for their love, laughs, and support.

A Few of My Favorite Things

Tis the season for giving back and sharing a few of my favorite things so today I am placing the spotlight on a local vintage+handmade jewelry brand Havana’s Heyday.  As a wife, mother & cancer survivor, the founder & CEO Ginger, has a passion for fashion & strongly believes in giving back.  5% of each sale is donated to two charities – 2.5% to Colorectal Cancer Alliance & 2.5% to Dress for Success

Havana’s Heyday is unique & affordable, two of my favorite things!  I mean who doesn’t love to get a little bling & give back?!  Her collection is constantly evolving with four seasonal launches per year focusing on your main go-to accessories, necklaces, bracelets, rings & earrings.

My typical go-to accessories are necklaces & earrings but when I saw this vintage-inspired cuff I just had to have it!  Being that it’s winter in Pittsburgh I layered it over top my cozy wrist warmers and I love how this look turned out.  It adds just the right amount of WOW factor.

AND, I am so excited to share that I’ve partnered with Havana’s Heyday to give one lucky winner a limited edition winter-inspired pendant necklace.  The pendant, pictured below, was only made in 1982 and looks great worn on its own or layered with another delicate necklace.  Head to my Instagram account the_wexford_hosuewife_ for all of the giveaway details…
