#OOTD – Boyfriend Blazer

Every woman should have a go-to blazer in their closet.  Not only is a blazer a timeless essential, but it makes transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall easier allowing you to layer tanks & dresses.

I love my boyfriend blazer!  I found it at H&M 2 years ago & it has been a staple in my wardrobe ever since.  It’s neutral so it goes with almost every outfit and it’s oversized making it comfortable to wear & easy to layer.

Before walking out the door I threw a leather crossbody over my shoulder & I changed my shoe selection to tan zipper ankle boots.  I rolled the sleeves on my blazer & scrunched the denim to fall just above my boots.  Comfortable & effortless housewife style xoxx

My battle with swearing

I love to swear.  There’s just something about inappropriate language that is…well, appropriate.  When I first became a mother I didn’t worry too much about my foul mouth because as a newborn my son was barely aware of his surroundings let alone what I was saying.  However, now that he is 16 months he is listening to everything I say & watching my every move; quick to learn & imitate.

How am I supposed to properly express myself?  Son of a biscuit, fudge nugget & gosh doggy just don’t have the same ring to it.  How depressing.  He hasn’t started talking just yet, but it’s coming any day now and I would be mortified if his first sentence included some of my favorite filthy words.

Pardon my French, but F*CK!

#OOTD – Comfortable & Effortless

I love celebrating…well, anything!  Be it birthdays, holidays or baby showers any excuse to buy a gift & drink wine is a great time in my book.  This weekend I attended a family members baby shower.  It was a casual setting and I was bringing the little man so I opted for denim instead of a dress.

The outfit I chose to wear was simple (a blouse, denim & boots), but it’s the little details & finishing touches that turn an outfit like this into a “look”. I rolled the denim above my ankle to show off the booties and changed the necklace to a simple black/gold piece tying into the color story I was creating with the black footwear. Since it was a chilly afternoon I threw on an infinity scarf which I knotted around my neck.  Comfortable & effortless housewife style.
