Target Fashion Finds

There’s a saying “You don’t go to Target because you need something.  You go to Target and let Target tell you what you need.” ūüôā

We’ve all been guilty of walking in those doors with something in mind and leaving with a cart full of extra “necessities”.  Today while shopping with little man I came across some fashion finds at great prices like this polka dot shirt dress for $27.99.  Dresses like this are so versatile – I can keep things classic with a black pump or channel my edgy side with a moto jacket and heeled ankle bootie.

I’m usually not one to wear skirts but I couldn’t resist snagging this timeless black pencil skirt for $22.99.  It’s a great piece to wear casually with a cozy sweater like I styled below or dressed up for that 9-5 with a split neck blouse & pointed toe flat.

My final find of the day were these high-rise zipper detail jeans by Wild Fable.  They’re priced online for $28 but I found them in the clearance section for $14 – I couldn’t resist!  Even my little man thought they were too fun to pass up.

I attached links underneath each picture –¬†happy shopping!

Lady Gang Girl Power

If you don’t already have a girl gang, run out & find out.¬† I’ve found mine & I am beyond grateful for GRLPWRPGH.¬† This group is exactly what it sounds like….a bunch of boss babes in the Pittsburgh area who network, collab, get inspired & share stories.¬† In today’s fast paced, media run, #metoo world, it is so important to have women that have your back.¬† I joined the group already knowing a few familiar faces but with each event I get the opportunity to connect with women who continue to surprise and inspire me.

Earlier this week we had our VIP Membership Dinner at the cutest outdoor venue in Pittsburgh called Bay41.  As the sun set over the candle lit dinner table, women from all walks of life sat down to break bread, share stories & cheers to the future.

What’s an event without a great theme & some fantastic photo ops?¬† The night’s theme was boho-chic so I wore this embroidered shift dress from Old Navy with my faux leather ponte jacket by Kut from the Kloth (Stitch Fix) and my peep toe booties also from Stitch Fix.

Stitch Fix Reveal

As a Senior Stylist for Stitch Fix, I not only get the opportunity to style some amazing women, but I also get to style myself.¬† After seeing all of the summer-inspired styles in our inventory, I couldn’t resist sending myself a Fix.¬† Scroll down to see the pieces I decided to keep & send back, and some quick styling tips for each item.

Lux & Co Knit Maxi Dress

This is by far my favorite style from this Fix.¬† I love the pattern mixing and pockets, the lightweight fabrication and the figure-flattering A-line silhouette.¬† It’s a little long, but I’m only 5’0″ so that’s normal for me; nothing some strappy wedges can’t fix.¬† I cannot wait to wear this dress out for date night with a floral statement necklace & a black clutch.

Nine Britton Jemima Knit Dress

This lightweight shift dress is perfect for summer!  Not only does it have pockets but a built in shelf bra as well.  It will look great worn during the day with a strappy leather sandal then to dinner on an outdoor patio with a denim jacket and an espadrille wedge.

Market & Spruce Belt Bag AND Pistola Button Front Frayed Hem Skinny Jeans

I am in love with both of these styles!¬† The belt bag is unlike anything I currently have in my wardrobe plus¬†it’s only $38, and the Pistola Jeans have an elongating high-rise waist & unique distressed detailing.¬† I paired the jeans¬†with several different tops, but I think a knotted tee or body suit will look best.

Fun2Fun Casterino V-Neck Top

This is only style that I wasn’t sold on.¬† I love the woven detailing around the neckline but I think the color washes me out a little.¬† It’s a great silhouette, so I may¬†try it again but in a different color/pattern.
