Date Night Look

Let me get right to it…date nights are imperative in our household.  Our little man has consumed our lives, in the best way possible.  And, it goes without saying that we love him unconditionally.  HOWEVER, we love our date nights without him too.  It gives us a chance to have a full conversation without hearing “mom” “mom” “mamma” “dad” “look at my face”.  Our conversations mostly consist of our son & his crazy antics, but it’s a date night all the same.

Our most recent night out consisted of dinner & drinks at a Mexican restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh and a fun night at the casino with friends.  We didn’t hit big, but at least I got to wear this new ruffle sleeved blouse & my favorite Madewell crossbody.

Maxxinista Life

I have recently become a full blown Maxxinista and am loving every penny saving moment! By definition, a Maxxinista is “one who finds unique and original designer items at discount prices” at the discount department store TJ Maxx.  The fact that I found an actual definition of this online is amazing!

I always seem to have such good luck shopping at TJ Maxx & Marshalls, not to mention Homegoods too!  It’s always a quick & easy shopping experience which makes dragging my toddler along with me not a complete nightmare.  Anyways, I am excited to share some of my most recent finds & how I styled them

Lemon & pineapple prints are everywhere this season, so when I found this Off The Shoulder Top for only $12.99 at TJ Maxx, I just had to get it!  I kept things casual by pairing it my high-rise distressed skinnies, cuffed at the ankle, strappy wedges & statement chandelier earrings.

Being that I’m only 5’0″ tall I rarely wear skirts, but with midi skirts being on-trend this year I just had to try one for myself.  I picked up this yellow perforated skirt & crochet cap sleeved knit from TJ Maxx for under $25.  Since the top was a little long I decided to knot the hem to one side & add a fun pop of contrasting color with this blue floral necklace.

As you can see, I saved the best for last!  I found this floral tie waist jumpsuit at Marshalls for under $20 (I can’t remember the exact price).  But, what a steal!  I paired this jumpsuit with my Tory Burch wedges and Chloe+Isabel statement necklace for a good friend’s wedding rehearsal.

#OOTN – Vaca Fashion

Two weeks ago I took my first girls trip since having my son almost 3 years ago.  Needless to say, this was a much-needed getaway!  My girlfriends & I headed to Miami to celebrate a friend’s bachelorette party.  Our days were full of sunshine & tropical drinks and our nights were spent dancing into the late hours.

While on vacation I had the chance to try out some trends that aren’t necessarily appropriate for heading to the park or an afternoon play date.  The first night I rocked this easy-wear romper that I picked up from Forever21 for under $20.  It paired nicely with my black strappy heels & faux leather clutch.

I was planning on wearing an off-the-shoulder royal blue romper on our second night out, but ended up burning a hole in it with the condo’s not so trusty iron :-/  I ended up borrowing this sheer cutout bodysuit & faux leather skirt from my girlfriends; thank goodness I have stylish friends!

On our last night, we headed to Nikki Beach for drinks & dancing in the sand.  I kept things simple & chic with this form fitting crop top from Express & these lightweight trousers from Target that I snagged for $6.99!
