Valentine’s Day OOTD

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with your honey or Galentine’s Day with your besties, I’ve gathered some of my favorite looks that are sure to keep you looking & feeling your best.

You can never go wrong with a little black dress! This romantic-inspired style is from The Loft is under $100 and is perfect for dinner & drinks. I paired it with a statement heel & fringe earrings but you can easily rock it with a bold red pump or heeled ankle bootie. Click on the link below for purchasing details ūüôā

When I think of Valentine’s day I think of red & pink hues which makes this flutter sleeve dress perfect for a night out on Feb. 14th. I purchased this dress from Versona for under $50 but I’ve also linked some similar styles below.

Black on black is always in style & my go-to for a girls night out. Not only are the vertical pinstripes on these pants super slimming but they elongate this 5 ft nothing frame. Pants like these can easily be paired with a bodysuit or a crop top like I did here. Though I wasn’t able to link these exact items I’ve included similar styles; just follow the link!

Vacation Vibes

“Life was meant for good friends & great adventures”¬†

My husband & I recently¬†went on a¬†much needed, adults-only vacation with two other couples to Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa.¬† Getting back to our daily routine took a minute which is why this post has taken me 2 weeks to finally complete… ūüôā

We love traveling to Punta Cana!¬† It’s fairly inexpensive, an easy flight from Pittsburgh and always a good time.¬† This was¬†our 4th time traveling there together, but our first time at Breathless.¬† Overall, we had a great experience!¬† Between the sunny days, the attentive poolside service, the swim-up bar, 11 restaurant options and the late night casino, how could we not have a good time?!

The¬†resort had 11 restaurants to chose from as well as¬†a handful from the sister resort next door Now Onyx.¬† We only stayed 4 nights & 5 days so unfortunately we weren’t able to try each one.¬† However, the restaurants we did try were amazing!¬†¬† Each one started the table with a selection of appetizers & house wine, then we were able to choose from a soup or salad,¬†main course &¬†side¬†dishes.¬†¬†Our favorite restaurant by far was¬†Coquette¬†which served¬†French cuisine.¬† ¬†

Rather than share every outfit I wore on our vacation, I’ve decided to feature my favorite look which is this Off-The-Shoulder Shift Dress from TJ Maxx.¬† I paired it with an Urban Expressions Crossbody Bag¬†that I¬†purchased through¬†Stitch Fix, strappy cork-heel wedges & a shell necklace from a previous Punta Cana trip.¬† I am excited to share that I’ve listed this dress on Poshmark for $10.¬† I only wore it the one time, so it’s in like-new condition.¬† If you’re interested in this dress or any other on-trend, lightly worn styles be sure to¬†follow me @luraashli

Lastly, the only thing I would change¬†about this trip was the lack of organization.¬† The resorts we’ve¬†stayed at¬†in the past gave us a quick tour of the resort upon arrival before escorting us to our room, shared a daily itinerary of activities¬†as well as nightly entertainment.¬† However, this resort was kind of a free-for-all.¬† We never knew what was actually going on until we came across it i.e. beach volleyball, water biking, dance parties by the pool etc.¬† Don’t get me wrong, we had an amazing time, but that was the only thing that stood out as being somewhat negative.

Looking at those drinks makes me want to go back!!!!

Date Night Look

If you’ve read my blog in the past, you know how much I love a night out, especially date night with the hubs.¬† It’s been a minute since we enjoyed a night out together without little man, so this past weekend we pulled out all the stops!¬† We dressed our best, grabbed a box of cigars & headed out for a night on the town…

We started our night downtown with dirty martinis &¬†red bull on the rocks; my man doesn’t drink, but still manages to be the life of the party, which is one of the many reasons I love him.¬† We met friends for dinner at the Grand Concourse,¬†an old railroad station turned restaurant which is¬†“nestled comfortably on the riverfront and overlooking the downtown skyline”.¬† Afterwards, we ventured to the Rivers Casino for some more drinks, live music & a little gambling.

My outfit of the night is the perfect example of inexpensive & chic.  My skirt & pumps are from Forever 21, my crop top is from TJ Maxx & my faux leather clutch is from Target.  I love fashion on a dime!!!
