Target Activewear Promo

With a New Year right around the corner we’re all starting to reflect on 2018, making our bucket lists for the upcoming year and creating resolutions.  At the beginning of last year I made the decision to live a healthier lifestyle.  Though I often skipped breakfast & over poured my red wine at dinner, I did keep up with my gym routine.

Having the right workout attire makes all difference.  I’ve found that when I look good, I feel good and I push myself a little bit harder!  My favorite places to find stylish & breathable athletic wear is Marshalls, Old Navy & Target.  Now through January 5th when you spend $40 on activewear at Target you get a $10 gift card!!!

Today I’m sharing with you guys some of my favorite Target must-haves for the New Year like these comfy sneakers by C9 Champion.  With their Flexfoam inserts and lightweight body these sneakers are great for hitting the gym then running errands.  They’ve quickly become my new go-to shoe of choice!

I also cannot get enough of  high-waist leggings like the ones below.  From playful colors & prints, to functional pockets & breathable fabrications Target has options for every woman.

Don’t forget the promo only lasts till January 5th so get shopping!

Celebrating Easter in Style

Well another month has past & I finally find myself paying attention to The Wexford Housewife.  I don’t know how I let time pass by so quickly without posting anything on the blog.  I know I should be smart by planning ahead & mapping out my month, but I always end up putting everything else first…my son & husband, friends & family, hosting holidays, Stitch Fix, etc. etc. My Blog seems to always take a back seat.  Does anyone else have/had this problem?  How do you make time for everything & your blog, please share!

Speaking of sharing, I am so excited to share details from our Easter celebration!  Ever since our son was born, we’ve hosted a Sunday Funday brunch for our family & friends consisting of yummy finger foods, endless mimosas for the adults & a scavenger hunt for the kids.  This year I tried a new recipe, Hot Ham & Cheese Party Rolls, which were a huge hit!  I’ve linked the recipe here in case you’re in need of a new, easy appetizer.

Below I’ve included some pictures of my stylish little family on Easter Sunday.  My husband kept things casual with a Vineyard Vines Polo & AE Jeans, while my son rocked a look from Gymboree complete with bug printed suspenders & a linen vest (not pictured).  My outfit is from my favorite place, Marshalls, and was under $50.

I am so blessed that our families get along & we’re able to celebrate together.  Nothing is better than being surrounded by loved ones during the holidays.

Vacation Vibes

“Life was meant for good friends & great adventures”

My husband & I recently went on a much needed, adults-only vacation with two other couples to Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa.  Getting back to our daily routine took a minute which is why this post has taken me 2 weeks to finally complete… 🙂

We love traveling to Punta Cana!  It’s fairly inexpensive, an easy flight from Pittsburgh and always a good time.  This was our 4th time traveling there together, but our first time at Breathless.  Overall, we had a great experience!  Between the sunny days, the attentive poolside service, the swim-up bar, 11 restaurant options and the late night casino, how could we not have a good time?!

The resort had 11 restaurants to chose from as well as a handful from the sister resort next door Now Onyx.  We only stayed 4 nights & 5 days so unfortunately we weren’t able to try each one.  However, the restaurants we did try were amazing!   Each one started the table with a selection of appetizers & house wine, then we were able to choose from a soup or salad, main course & side dishes.  Our favorite restaurant by far was Coquette which served French cuisine.

Rather than share every outfit I wore on our vacation, I’ve decided to feature my favorite look which is this Off-The-Shoulder Shift Dress from TJ Maxx.  I paired it with an Urban Expressions Crossbody Bag that I purchased through Stitch Fix, strappy cork-heel wedges & a shell necklace from a previous Punta Cana trip.  I am excited to share that I’ve listed this dress on Poshmark for $10.  I only wore it the one time, so it’s in like-new condition.  If you’re interested in this dress or any other on-trend, lightly worn styles be sure to follow me @luraashli

Lastly, the only thing I would change about this trip was the lack of organization.  The resorts we’ve stayed at in the past gave us a quick tour of the resort upon arrival before escorting us to our room, shared a daily itinerary of activities as well as nightly entertainment.  However, this resort was kind of a free-for-all.  We never knew what was actually going on until we came across it i.e. beach volleyball, water biking, dance parties by the pool etc.  Don’t get me wrong, we had an amazing time, but that was the only thing that stood out as being somewhat negative.
