Nothing is better than catching up with an old friend over good wine & small plates.  Last night I was so lucky to see my friend who was visiting from out of town.  We ate, drank & shared our adventures in Motherhood.  I didn’t want to say goodbye… but unfortunately all good things must come to an end.  Safe travels back to Denver my love!

It finally feels like fall in Pittsburgh, which means I can finally wear dark colored denim & ankle booties!  I am obsessed with this dark burgundy denim & linen blend knit, both of which I picked up for less than $50.  Bring on the cooler weather mother nature; I’m ready!

Celebrating my birthday in style

I love celebrating birthdays!  Any excuse to get together with friends & family is always a plus in my book.  From wine tastings, to dance parties, dinner dates & live music, this year’s birthday was a huge success…and the most fashionable I might add.

As much I thought I would dread being in my 30’s, I’m loving it!  I have an amazing husband & son, the best friends a girl could ask for & a family that continues to show their love and support.  Check out some of my favorite looks from this year’s week long celebration!

Bringing out my romantic side with bold floral prints while wine tasting in Ohio.  This blouse & the distressed skinnies are from my latest Fix; two of my favorite pieces to date!

What’s a birthday without dinner & drinks with loved ones!  I originally wore this dress while celebrating my wedding in Punta Cana; I was so excited to wear it again for my birthday this year.

Keeping things simple & chic for our winery hop in the Laurel Highlands of PA.  What a great weekend experiencing new wines & listening to live music with my husband and our close friends!

Fashion on wheels

Last night I hosted yet another fun Ladies Night Out!  Our night was full of drinking vino, eating yummy finger foods & shopping the latest trends thanks to the Mack & Mario fashion truck.  Mack & Mario is a store on wheels, think food truck but for all things fabulous.

This concept of free-range fashion is a game changer!  The owner Lori made our event a huge hit with her outgoing personality, artisan jewelry and on-trend apparel.

My girlfriends & I had a blast shopping inside the truck!  There was no pressure from pushy sales associates, just friendly advice from the owner on how to coordinate pieces.  The apparel was somewhat limited with only one or two sizes available in each style, making them unique & one of a kind.

Some of  my favorite pieces included a white tulle skirt a la Carrie Bradshaw, an off-the-shoulder tunic with lace/fringe detailing and lightweight brass bracelets with individual state charms.
