Celebrating Easter in Style

Well another month has past & I finally find myself paying attention to The Wexford Housewife.  I don’t know how I let time pass by so quickly without posting anything on the blog.  I know I should be smart by planning ahead & mapping out my month, but I always end up putting everything else first…my son & husband, friends & family, hosting holidays, Stitch Fix, etc. etc. My Blog seems to always take a back seat.  Does anyone else have/had this problem?  How do you make time for everything & your blog, please share!

Speaking of sharing, I am so excited to share details from our Easter celebration!  Ever since our son was born, we’ve hosted a Sunday Funday brunch for our family & friends consisting of yummy finger foods, endless mimosas for the adults & a scavenger hunt for the kids.  This year I tried a new recipe, Hot Ham & Cheese Party Rolls, which were a huge hit!  I’ve linked the recipe here in case you’re in need of a new, easy appetizer.

Below I’ve included some pictures of my stylish little family on Easter Sunday.  My husband kept things casual with a Vineyard Vines Polo & AE Jeans, while my son rocked a look from Gymboree complete with bug printed suspenders & a linen vest (not pictured).  My outfit is from my favorite place, Marshalls, and was under $50.

I am so blessed that our families get along & we’re able to celebrate together.  Nothing is better than being surrounded by loved ones during the holidays.

Wannabe Model

I am by no means a model.  Let’s be honest, my age is starting to show, you can see the toddler-influenced bags under my eyes, I don’t know where to place my hands or how to tilt my head properly.  But, with that being said, I love playing dress up & taking pictures.  Being apart of the Pittsburgh Blogger Babes has given me the opportunity to network with photographers and bloggers that I otherwise wouldn’t have met.  I’ve made some quick friendships & shared some laughs with some fantastic women!

My most recent shoot was with Lisha Lee Photography at the Mansions on Fifth.  Working with Alicia was amazing!  She is a mommy, just like me, so right away we hit it off.  She made me laugh & feel comfortable in front of the camera, giving me simple directions on where to look & how to pose.  If you’re in the Pittsburgh area I would definitely recommend working with her.

For this shoot, I decided to wear this new Lace Detail Shift Dress from Francesca’s.  It’s currently sold out online, but I’ve linked a similar dress that’s on sale for under $20.  To play down the romantic detailing I layered my Old Navy Denim Jacket on top and added black patent leather pointed toe pumps.  I picked up these pumps from Forever21 for next to nothing, and they’ve quickly become my go-to heels for any look.

#OOTD Overalls

“Opportunities will not overlook you because you are wearing overalls” – Henry Ford

I never thought I would be one to rock overalls, but how damn cute are these things?!  I came across them at Marshalls recently and after taking a poll on Instagram, I just had to get them.  For this shoot, I paired them with a black body suit and my patent leather high heeled pumps.  An easy-to-wear look great for dinner & a movie, wine tasting or even a quick trip to the casino with the hubs!  I can’t wait to wear them this spring with a white crop top & my Steve Madden olive slip-on sneakers.

I can’t link these exact overalls since I purchased them from Marshalls, but here are some similar styles I’m sure you guys are going to love from Macy’s, and Kohl’s.
