Resale Shop Experience

If you’ve been reading my posts lately you know how much I love a good deal.  From Marshalls, to TJ Maxx and Target…I always seem to find something fantastic I can add to my wardrobe.  Not only are their prices super affordable but these stores make it easy to bring a very strong-willed toddler along for the ride 🙂

The other day, thanks to my Mother in Law, I was able to do some shopping sans the little man and came across a local resale shop called Style Encore.  I had my reservations since the only resale shop I’ve been to is Plato’s Closet which is geared towards a younger audience.  I have to say, I was impressed!  Not only were the employees friendly and helpful but the store was organized and brightly lit.

I tried on a few things and ended up falling in love with a top by Bar III for only $14 which I believe is carried at Macy’s.  I wore it for a recent date night with my dark wash skinnies from Marshalls, black pumps from Forever 21 and burgundy satchel from Stitch Fix.

#OOTD Fall Layers

It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in Pittsburgh & I couldn’t be more excited!  This is by far my favorite season; the crisp autumn mornings, the holidays & family gatherings and of course, an excuse to drink hot rum apple cider!

Yesterday my husband & I decided to do a spontaneous family date night.  Another favorite of mine 🙂 Dinner & drinks, a little shopping, topped off with game night with our little man.  If you haven’t played Pop the Pig yet, you’re missing out.

It was one of those in-between evenings where the weather isn’t quite cold but it’s not hot either.  A ‘bring a layer’ kind of night.  I decided to wear my new Liverpool Bootcut Jeans from my recent Fix along with this lightweight elbow patch knit I picked up from Marshalls & my go-to boyfriend blazer from H&M.  The perfect toddler-approved date night look!

Stitch Fix Reveal

One of the best perks of being a stylist for Stitch Fix is having the opportunity to style myself.  I haven’t sent myself a Fix in quite some time, but I just couldn’t resist after seeing all of the rich colors & textures for fall.  For those that aren’t familiar, Stitch Fix is a styling service for men & women that combines technology with the personal touch of seasoned style experts.  If you’re interested in learning more feel free to reach out to me or click on the link I provided & it will redirect you to our website.

For this Fix, I focused on all things fall…new dark wash denim, casual long sleeve knits & slip-on flats.  I was a little hesitant to send myself pull-on jeans but after hearing all of the positive feedback from my clients on the Liverpool brand I just had to try them.  And, I Love These Jeans!  Not only are they super slimming, but they’re extremely comfortable as well.  I plan on wearing them later this week for a girls night out so stay tuned on how they hold up throughout the night.

Fall is the perfect season for mixing textures & trends which is why I’m loving this Woven Poplin Knit by Noe Heights (pictured below).  The bowtie cuffs add a little romantic flair while the pinstripe pattern creates a classic look.  I paired this knit with my Just Black Skinnies (also from Stitch Fix) and the Report Footwear Stud Detail Flats for a casual-chic ensemble great for Sunday brunch.

Speaking of mixing textures, this Mixed Material Knit by Kaileigh has stolen my heart!  Not only is this top made in the USA, but it’s super soft & stylish too.  I can’t wait to wear it with a burgundy skinny jean & peep toe wedge.
